Dude, you are so clever and ironic. Posting random screenshots of old time crap vampire movies on a poker message board has got everyone so confused. Also, I love the avatar that you tried to host on tripod. Pure class.

Well, the poster's username is Graf Orlock.
The picture, you may or may not know, is of Count Orlock, vampire from the movie "Nosferatu".
Orlock is also commonly known AS Nosferatu, just as Frankenstein's monster is known a Frankenstein and COunt Vlad Dracul is known as Dracula.

What's the conection? None that I can see.
Gotta admit though, I love the old pictures. Near as I can tell he just likes posting non-sequitir pictures of his alter ego.

Pretty Childish, if you ask me...

That was my point. I know they're vampire pictures. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's a confusing type of trolling, that's for sure. Not nearly as funny as Iceman, who posted the lyrics for "Danger Zone" a while back...

I am beginning to believe you are behind the IceMan thing. This is the 4th or 5th time you've commented on him.

Don't get me wrong, I thought IceMan was funny, and I can see that he probably got played out.

As for the vampier, this one was a silent movie? Maybe the troll is not supposed to talk.

I wish I was that clever. This is the only ID I've ever posted with. I'm not smart enough to troll, I would probably forget to log out and give the whole thing away by accidentally posting in micro, MTT or SS.

Yeah, so about Flack

He is very aggressive and very good, but he is an arrogant ass. He stares down his nose while playing against others. He is one of those guys that must fuel his ego in order to be good. Having a rather subpar year too it would appear.

He's got f'ed up teeth. The only thing I remember about him from last year's WPT.

Very good and usually drunk, although I think it's usually more than three beers.

How do we rate the best players? By how we perceived them in a single TV tournament, or by how we "hear" they do in live games? Or do we go by how much money they have won in all the tournaments that are listed - career earnings?

I guess what I really want to know is, how much do you trust the opinion of 99% of the posters here on 2+2 regarding the ability of a player that has proven themselves able to get to the last table and into the big money of several large tournaments?

Layne is actually the player who got me interested in playing poker on more than a casual basis. I met him only one time about 7 years ago (though reintroduced myself at WSOP a couple years ago, and he was very cordial to me).

I was playing at the RIO on New Years eve. $4/8. He came in late, drunk, obnoxious and loud. He sat next to me in my game. Played very loose and aggressive. Ran through $70 in minutes. He was friends with the dealer. That Travis Jonas tool.

Anyway, there were several times that he called the opponent's hand, before showing and was right each time. Didn't stop him from draining chips though. He gave me a few pointers on my play. He was mostly right in retrospect.

After the game, he was bragging about how he won a Hall of Fame tournament the year before, and that he was a big shot. He had a bunch of top pro's (unbeknownst to me at the time) phone numbers in his address book. He said he got there too late, otherwise Johnny Chan stakes him in a big game. I just figured he was a drunk and liar. I like the guy, but I think I was half right in my assessment. We drank and played blackjack until about 7am. The next day I was at the Gambler's book store and asked Howard Schwartz if he had heard of him. Howard had no clue. I looked him up on the internet when I got home. At the time, the only resource on poker was basically Conjelco, but it did mention the Hall of Fame tournament that he won.

He is also a decent omaha hi-lo player.
