Im new on here and just wanted to share some insight into this weekends NCAA matchups.

Boise State -22 at home against BYU.
BYU played USC tough and if it werent for second half meltdowns that game would have been closer. Sportsbooks know that Boise is a high powered offensive machine and they seem to cover every week. This is why they will inflate the line because the public will take them no matter what. It opened at 17 and is up to 22. Wait until Friday and see if you can get BYU +23 or 24. This spread has been bet way out of proportion.

Welcome aboard!

I was looking at BYU myself.

In the future, it would be more clear, if you are picking the underdog, if you presented your pick as "BYU +22 vs. Boise St."

I've been doing quite a bit of research this week for college football. I've already placed bets on the following:

Boise St -21.5 BYU
Boston College +1 Wake Forest
Notre Dame -10.5 Washington
Iowa +13.5 Michigan
Virginia -25 Syracuse
New Mexico St +6.5 New Mexico
Minnesota -15 Northwestern

As I said, already placed my bets on these. What are your thoughts on these?

or will those come later?

If any of the lines swing a lot (Boise St) will you go for a middle?

Admittedly I am better at college basketball and NFL betting but I'll give it a shot at my reasoning.

Boise St has been a machine the past couple years against the spread. In searching for information on this game most are predicting the score to be about 50 - 20. I'll take my chances and hope BYU does not score many points.

I am thinking Boston COllege will win by about 10. They are 9-1 in their last 10 on the road.

I like Notre Dame because they are on a rool right now and Washington isn't nearly as good as they normally are each year.

I think Iowa's defense is much better than they showed last week and this is giving extra value in the line. Michigan is very young and untested at QB and RB and whould struggle against a good defense.

Virginia is just solid and everywhere I read people expect a blowout. I hope for a 30 point win.

I don't know much about New Meixco St or New Mexico. I am taking advice from a ffiend who says this is a major rivaly and should be a very close game with New Mexico St having a great shot to win the game outright.

Minnesota is VERY good. They have a good chance to win the Big 10 and play in the Rose Bowl. I like their style of play. They have 2 running backs that if either were not there, the other would have a shot at the heisman. They blew out Northwestern last year and I see the same thing happening again.

---------

I don't see too much in the NFL this week that stands out. They usually say if you can pick the winner then you will win against the spread 70-80% of the time. Well, I agree with that statement most of the time because in the NFL the lines are not usually that big. But, this week there are lots of big lines and it's often difficult to pick a side.

I agree with Big Al on the Tennessee pick. I don't expect Jacksonville to score more than 10-13 points. I expect a final score of about 24-10.

I am aslo looking at Indy, St. Louis, Philadelphia, and Minnesota. I want to see how/of the lines move. I also already placed a bet on Den/SD over 46.5.

Actually, in any NFL game where the spread is 10 pts or greater, the winner only covers about 50% of the time.

My point exactly. The lines are bigger this week so it makes it tougher.

I like Boise St minus the points. They have been great against the spread. BYU has no running game and won't be able to control the clock. Lots of three and outs and more opportunities for Boise States explosive offense.

I've added Bowling Green +1 for tonight.
