QQ flops quads: how to maximize my win

Hero is in the BB with QQ. It is folded to the button who limps. SB folds, and Hero raises. Button calls

I check and so does the button.

Turn (2.25 bb) As

I check and button bets. I raise and button 3-bets. I just call

River is a junk card.

I bet, and button folds.

Did I play this well in terms of making money off the guy? Should I have checked the river hoping to induce a bluff? Should I have 4-bet the turn?

What was your thinking behind NOT capping the turn? He'll obviously call so you probably missed one bet there. If he was anyway loose I'd bet the flop too, you'd be shocked what some people will call with.

Cap the turn then bet out on the river. You may also want to bet out on the flop, if he raises just call and checkraise the turn and go from there. I think you played this ok, you only missed 1, maybe 1.5 big bets.

How to maximize your win: hope the button is misplaying his AA.

You should have capped the turn, though.

Yeah cap the turn, he wont fold for one more BB and you want all you can get now.

Also bet the turn. If you check-raise a bluff, he'll fold. He might raise on a bluff or call with a draw rather than checking behind. He might even call down with high card or a baby pair not wanting you to steal it.

Bet the flop. No one will give you credit for a Q, let alone quads. Also, most typical party players at that level love to see the turn, no matter what they're holding.
