View Full Version : Unethical tactic?

Once or twice a session, in a post-flop multiway pot where no one has previously shown strength, I'll do the following:

If the bet is checked to me, I'll quickly yell "raise" and excitedly toss chips in the pot. This almost always results in lots of giggling, folding and a stolen pot. Is this move "bush league" or a good bluff?

because i'm sure if you pulled this move off at a 10-20 table or higher, you'd be caught hard... after a few times..

The is almost the same as the last position guy betting right out... then says sorry for betting out of turn and takes his bet back, then all the fools check to him and he checks and gets his free card. In the games I play in know one has ever tried that move... but sometimes they try to make a big bet on the flop while its still a small bet. In a 10-20 game on the flop they'll throw out 20 chips and yell bet... dealer will say its only 10 and give him 10 back. The fools say, I know what he's got and fold...
