big time sports betting

i love sports and i love to gamble...however i prefer gambling smart (ie. poker) i see sports betting as something that could also be exploitable if one knew alot about the odds and all the factors of the game.

now my question is, to be a good sports bettor how much time/effort do you have to put into it? is this a profession for some people much like poker is for others?

It is a profession for some people. But probably more time consuming than poker. I am not a professional sports bettor, so I don't know from experience. But, from what I gather it takes a lot of time out of one's day.

It takes a TON of time....more than evn the most diligent are willing to put in.

Very tough way to earn a living. Many have tried because they think it is so easy.
