This hand really confused me... there were 5 people left... I had average chipstack, at about 1600

Im dealt Q6 on BB

Shortstack has 750 and calls 200
Bigstack has 3000 and calls 200
SB folds
I check

Flop is AQ6 rainbow

Shortstack moves in for his last 600, bigstack raises to 1200, essentially putting me all in... I ponder for about 3 seconds and call

Shortstack has AK
Bigstack has AA

... their limps preflop really confused me, but I guess I should have known better after bigstack reraised

Any advice on how to not be a nitwit and lay this down??

If you lay that down, you're the nitwit.

wow. that's just bad luck. i don't see why the big stack would bother raising. he obviously wants you in this pot. what if you had AJ or something. you would have to fold, but if he called you would probably call too due to the fact there was no PF raises. because he raised he's really driving you out unless you have something really good, which unfortunately you did. i would maybe stop and think someone had AQ and hit higher two pair, but i would have to call.

That's just bad luck. I would make that call every time especially at this point of the tournament.

The only thing I would have done differently is move all-in first, as oppossed to checking the flop. You have to play this hand.
