I've been trying to improve my tourney play, as I'm usually a low-limit-er or SnG player. So if any of these are completely inane, just ignore them, and lament what a silly player I am.

Here's the first one, I may have played it a little strong on the flop, and probably should have check-raised, hoping he had an Ace. I guess I didn't want to give a flush draw a cheap turn.

Hand 2:
Another hand where I think I may have pushed too hard. Am I too afraid of flushes in these situations?

Hand 3:

Here I was trying to do a semi-steal with 44 on the button. Should I have let it go on the flop and check-folded down?
I think the call on the flop means flush draw, but I dont think there's any way i could call on the turn.

Hand 4: Another hand where I think I may have played too fast. But I seriously didn't get called down to a showdown until 140 hands or so into the tournement. I'm not sure if they saw me as a rock or simply never had any cards against me. Is 300 too much for this pot? I thought that bet was begging to be called/raised?

I ended up 214th or so out of 1600+. I've gotten 2nd and 3rd in a couple $5 MTT on UB, and won a 3 table one on PP, so I -think- I'm at least getting better, of course that could just be delusional.

Thanks for any comments, rip my hands to shreds please!

Hand #1: A check-raise is probably in order here. Give this guy a chance to steal the pot if he is aggressive.

Hand #2: Why the all-in? You might have scared this guy off a hand as good as KJ, QJ. You appear to have overbet the pot by a factor of three. A bet of 500 might have kept a guy with a flopped pair in the pot.

Hand #3: I'm not sure what to say about his hand. You bet weakly on the flop, and then he bet weakly on the turn when the flush came. It is possible he sensed weakness in you, and then represented the flush on the turn to scare you off.

Hand #4: What card are you scared of on the turn? Check it and give the other guy a chance to bluff at the pot on the turn.

Yeah, I agree completely. Although I do think these are the only 4 hands that I played badly in the tournement, I'm sure I wasted a good opporunity to place much higher, had I just played these 4 hands better.

Thanks for the input.
