I travel around from website to website, stopping in and playing sngs each site, the 5+5. My ITM is 46% and my ROI is 46%. Admittingly, I only have about 200 SNGs recorded as of right now. But assuming these numbers are prevalent, if I step up to the 10+1 I will need a ROI of 23% to sustain my current win rate. Is this obtainable on the 10+1? Hopefully I could clear 30% to make up for the variance I will encounter with a lower ITM. Is 30% an easy number to obtain in these games? If so, are there any sites that you would recommend I stay away from(because of the tougher games)? Thanks.

In my experience and in my results, $5+$0.5 and $10+$1 play very similar; i.e., the same players occupy these buy ins.

I started playing 5+1 when I first learn SNG strategy and do not stay long enough to have a statistically significant result. My ROI in 10+1 is in 30s for 200 games, including a bad run while multitabling. Most of the beginners play 10+1 as well as 5+1, so it’s almost the same field. However, I found 20+2 a little bit trickier, lots of slow playing and bluffing. And people generally play tight too, last night I was knocked out 8th at level 5! /images/graemlins/shocked.gifI guess I never see that in 10+1 games.

"My roi is higher in the 10's...dunno why...~60% atm but sure to drop..."

The reason is that in 5+1 the rake is 20% of your buy-in, at 10+1 it's only 10%.

"if I step up to the 10+1 I will need a ROI of 23% to sustain my current win rate." I'll repeat, what I'd sayed in an earlier thread in brief: If you play 300 SNG's 10+1 and get In the money 40% of the time, and your 1,2,3, ranks are distributed equally, you'll invest 3300 $ and return 40*50 + 40*30 + 40*20 = 4000$. So your ROI is 700$ and that's 21,21%. So if you're gettijng ITM 40% of the time it should be possible 4 U to get approx. your 23%

I started out playing the $30 NL SNG's on Party and found that I was basically breaking even after playing 250 tourneys so I decided to drop down to the $10 level until I felt I was profitable there and then move back up.

I've played 345 $10 NL SNG's on Party Poker with an ROI of 20% and ITM of 41%. I've also started playing the $50 NL SNG's and am about even there after 50 tourneys but have been doing better lately as I think I've adjusted to the style there. I'm not ready to move full time to the $50 level just yet though.

Hmm this on stars so rake = 10% both games ...if bankroll small the $5 SnG's definetly on stars good spot to play...
