What can I put my opponents on? The UTG call/reraise is what really threw me off here.

personally id say the utg has somthing like a flush draw. . Id say he mite have a pair with the draw to lean at the turn. the utg+2 porbably had a queen proabably jq slowed down by the turn card.

I guess I thought this hand was more interesting than it really was. For some reason I couldnt seem to release my hand, but it was really difficult to put my opponents on hands that didnt beat me, other than pair + straight draws

UTG shows KTo for flopped OESD and turned top pair.
UTG+2 shows Q7 proving that he is LAG...

I'm talking about the other guy. he said he could have a draw that picked up a pair on the turn which is why he lead it. this is exactly what happened

that's my friend that I share my bankroll with

Evan

I see. how's that shared bankroll goin? I know you don't play poker anymore, but if you were to go crazy and sign on to Party, what limits would you be up to?

I wasn't aware that I don't play anymore. I play 3/6, and it's going bad because I'm stuck over 7k hands while he keeps winning, so I need to win

Evan

It seems like every day I read a post that says how you never play anymore....

I have lots of reasons/excuses. the main one is that I post when I should be doing something else. I do it to procrastinate. right now I should be sleeping. at 1, I said I'd go to sleep,b ut now its over 2 hours later and I'm still posting. I can't use playing as a method of procrastination, because it's involving. if I were to just get my [censored] done, and sleep for more than 4 hours, I wouldn't have any reason to procrastinate, and I'd play with all my free time. currently, I have no free time, because I'm constantly procrastinating, which technically isn't free time, because I'm SUPPOSED TO be doing something else.

I don't play as often as I should, but I still play

are we going to pick a different thread every night to hijack?

Evan

haha, I say we make a pact to hijack at least 1 per night. Our little 4am rambles hold a special place in my heart.

Evan
09-21-2004, 04:24 AM
We could also go hijack this (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1044953&page=0&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1#1044953) one since I think my response was semi-clever and I assume you haven't read it yet.

I didn't want to start a whole new thread so I think I'll just rehijack this one.

You know what makes playing for your rent tiring? Logging out of Party at the end of a rough session, having a smoke break and coming back to realize that you've only played 2/3 of your daily hand quota.

I literally said out loud: "Peter, that's not a thousand hands." And then I logged in and hated every minute of a 30BB upswing.

Anyone want to pay me money to make fun of you online?

Evan

Other than the smoke break I can basically say the same thing about playing for everything money (for lack of a better term), which is a lot when you're a college student in NYC. Sorry to rain on your pitty parade Bison, you can make fun of me a little if you want. But I won't pay you.

Bison, it happens. Stop crapping up the thread.

how does it feel to pay $18 for a 6 pack of Bud Light?

I'm going to sleep

Have you not read what me and Josh were talking about? Not that I'd call your post extremely useful, but it couldn't have brought the level of this thread down all that much.

Your avatar looks like you built the Trojan bunny from Holy Grail out of tongue depressors. Confirm/deny?

Evan
09-21-2004, 04:34 AM
exactly

Evan
09-21-2004, 04:36 AM
I didn't build it, but that's what it is. Although I can't confirm if it's made of tounge depressors specifically, it does appear to be a tounge depressor-like material.

Bison how many hands a day is your quota? And surely if your heart isnt in it even after not playing your quota ending it for the night is a better option.

Evan
09-21-2004, 04:59 AM
I'm gonna have to guess 1000/day is the quota.

bisonbison
09-21-2004, 05:13 AM
Yeah, 1000/day, or 5 or 6 thousand a week.

I find that I look much more forgivingly at a down day if I've played near or more than my quota than if I haven't.

I'm trying to get to the GoT zen stage, but my compromise for the moment is: if you get in the hands, the results will take care of themselves. So unless you know you're tilting, get in the hands.
