I usually type in something about how books are worthless, that I rely on "feel" because hey -- if someone actually "knows" how to win, why would they tell someone else their secrets? So the books are obviously just a ploy to make money.

50% of the time, they get the hint. 25% of the rest of the time, the rest of the table backs me up about how worthless books are. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I felt that was the most important part of your post.

Usually I'm not an advocate of posting players' names but as you've already done it, I'll say that I've played with two of these three and my only concern is how their play might have been before SSH.

If they're 2+2ers and they read this thread, I'd tell them to read SS more.

So it doesn't have anything to do with yachting then?
Oh well, not the first time I've been wrong.

Obviously if this conversation took place at a ring-game then it is more likely that they are playing via party then empire.

I've seen a couple WLLHE and PPLTP conversations on 2/4 and 3/6. But that was awhile ago. I haven't seen any chat about SSHE.

"just curious. what limit did this conversation occur?"

3-6. so the question is why was i up playing 3-6 in the middle of the night. and for that i have no good answer.

Don't feel bad guys, golf isn't your thing. Thats fine, no need to be ashamed.

The young fella, Tiger something was it?, seems to have some potential though, perhaps you'll make double figures in 2006.

Tosh, I like you! Very Funny.

Probably didn't help that we sent a 47-year old "rookie" on his first Ryder experience, but we (the US) got spliced, diced and fed to the ducks along the 7th green pond.

We'll console ourselves by winning the Champion Golfer of the Year honor and that little silver jug over and over again.

Well for some of is it is, I was very disapointed by the US play, I would like to point out how well the European team putted, missed almost nothing of importance. Our guys are gonna have to turn it up for next one, we did get our asses kicked in Pres cup too?

This is one of the funniest things I've read on the forum in a while. Nicely done.

Who needs the Ryder Cup, the World Champion of American football has been from the United States for almost 40 years in a row

Hopefully Ed will get around writing a book about the large states. It's not fair that California gets left out.
