I felt like I had the worst aspects of a LAG and a calling station here. I can pick out a couple mistakes but I'm also not sure which direction I should have leaned.

Why would you bet the river after calling his turn raise?

Was folding the turn raise ever an option? I think the river bet was somewhere between value and just being fed up with the absolute junk I've been shown down against. I was thinking maybe two aces or two kings without the diamond. If I was reading a broad spectrum of hands that might have 3-bet PF and capped the flop I should have figured most of the time I'd be beat.

Can I ever release this hand, or do I just call down from a point? I'm guessing that point is the turn raise, if so, meaning I only lost one bet here.

You really should check call the river.

In fact, I would be tempted to check call the turn as well.
