Ive found my play at the $5-25 SNG level pretty in-tact but my near-bubble play needs a little work when I'm not top or 2nd-top stack.

Big Blind is t200 (5 handed)

saw flop|saw showdown

SB (t575)
BB (t2530)
UTG (t4530)
Hero (t2725)
Button (t3140)

Preflop: Hero is MP with J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG folds, Hero raises to t600, Button folds, SB calls t475 (All-In), BB raises to t1000, Hero calls t400.

Flop: (t2575) A/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)
BB bets t1530 (All-In), Hero calls t1530.

Turn: (t5635) 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players, 2 all-in)

River: (t5635) 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: t5635
Main Pot: t1725 (t1725), between SB, BB and Hero.
Pot 2: t3910 (t3910), between BB and Hero.

I would fold preflop to the reraise. Players may be capable of doing this play with A10 or worse.... but how often do you really think you will be reraised with a worse hand than your own? This min reraise usually means the player wants action... meaning a very big hand, possibly one that doesnt need protection.

If you have a read that the BB is reckless or over aggressive... then you push all your chips preflop. The call is never correct.

What would happen if no A or J came on the flop and he pushed? Would you fold? You cant commit over a third of your chips to the pot preflop on a call. Its fold or push and off to the races.

It's hard to tell without knowing what kind of player BB is. I agree with pshrek that since you by this point should have a half decent read on him you should have either pushed or folded. Also, it's important to think about what BB thinks of your play.

As for the flop, it's hard to tell, BBs play is a little contradictory. The preflop action looks as if he wants a call. The flop bet looks as if he doesn't want to be sucked out, which could mean AA, but could also mean AT. If (ignoring what you should have done preflop) he's been a bit of a bully and has been playing really cute I would call. If he's a fairly strong player I think you're up against AA and should fold.

What happened?

Well I had my pair of Aces and he had his set of 3.

I felt like he had AA preflop when he reraised, but I hit my Ace and for him to be definitely ahead of me he needed those other 2 (which he had .. haha).

4-handed I've found AJ to be strnog but a well played AA took me for some chips.

thank you for your above cmts
