View Full Version : David Sklansky's dream team

Some crazy thread on RGP about who is the best, which is basically a pissing contest between David Sklansky and Doyle Brunson.

This is kind of stuff is so dumb in my opinion. Why do they even care? If I were a high-limit gambler, I'd never even once try to claim I'm the best. I'd just play and keep my mouth shut and pray to god that everyone thinks I'm just getting lucky.

But I have a solution for these guys if they really want to see how good they are.

Just fly to San Fran and play for a few weeks in the no limit game at Colma with the regulars there and report the results. I'd be willing to put money on the top players in the Colma game any day vs. the "name" players being touted on RGP.

I've been reading that also. As far as I can see DS's contention is similar to yours Natedogg, the top boys and girls aren't quite as good as they like to believe they are.

What I don't understand is why Brunson et el are going for Sklansky's tag team proposal. What do they possibly have to gain from the deal except bragging rights and a bit more cash IF they (the corporation) do manage to take the money from the rotating specialists? It's not as if these would be live ones entering the game.

Maybe I missed a post or two in that thread which would explain the benefit they hope to gain when it's all said and done.

Best of luck to you. Billy (LTL)
