There are 6 people in the pot, including yourself. The only true danger card is a 10. I (know?) most people say lead out here, but I think checking with the intention of raising works better.

If it's checked around, and a 10 falls, you can throw it away.
If a 2 flush falls, or a broadway card, you can bet, thinking someone paired up or has a viable draw, and you will now get value from your hand.

If the action goes check, then bet/raise/reraise etc, you can throw your hand away too...

People advocate playing bottom two very fast, and I typically agree. First to act, with 5 people left in the pot, I like seeing how others act on this raggedy flop.

I pushed all-in check-raised, UTG reraised all-in. The turn and river blanked, but UTG had a set of 44s. I don't think I can get away from that.

Yeah, that sucks dude. Thats what I like to call a malignant BB treat.

Every so often your piece of garbage BB turns into a nice looking hand on the flop, so you figure "oh, what a pleasant surprise." Then you find out you're drawing to runners. Cruel world this poker game is!

Dont you wish someone raised so you could've folded 34o fast? Like... Even a minraise? I always hate exiting tournaments with hands I never would've played.

I'd have played this fairly different. There is something to be said for taking small pots. You dont have a monster there, you have a great hand that can be hurt if you let someone draw out on you (Although in this case you were already beat).

I think you are happy to take down a 120 pot here, or make someone chase.

If you bet out 100 or so here, the guy with a set most likely comes over the top. If someone comes over the top on this board, I'm probably layin it down. Why get beat by T4, TT, 33, 44, or someone with an open ended straight.

I think 7 of 10 times you take down this pot with a 100 bet, and when you dont you're probably already beat or will be beat.

Granted, its a low buyin event so trying to figure what they have can make your head hurt, but still....
