Simulated trials? I don't get it. The ICM I know is deterministic.

I couldnt figure it out so I just had it draw finish places like a lottery, proportional to the number of chips you have. As far as I know, it agrees with everyone else's numbers. I'd like your code if it's C or C++. pzhon gave me his in mathematica and I had trouble deciphering it.

Wouldn't it just be easier to calculate your chips divided by total chips? That seems like all this applet is doing. As the number of trial runs approaches infinity, the EV% is expected to just be (your chips/total chips).

For placing 1st, yes. And then how do you figure 2nd, etc? That's the hard part.
