View Full Version : Soft 10/20 Game in Vegas this Weekend

I am fairly new to middle limits and would like to play 10/20 this weekend in Las Vegas. My guess is that the Mirage and Bellagio games will be tough. Is Luxor or Mandalay Bay or Monte Carlo a better choice?

Thank you

There are no 10/20 games at Luxor, Mandalay, Bellagio or Monte Carlo. You are mostly limited to the Mirage for that limit. Sometimes the Orleans and Binions get the 10-20 going, but the Mirage has a much nicer atmosphere, IMO. Good Luck and introduce yourself if you see the Babe!.

i'm pretty sure the only places in vegas with 10-20 are the mirage and horseshoe. the orleans may also have a 10-20, not sure

Clarkmeister told me that Mandalay Bay is occasionally getting a 10-20 game running on the weekend.

How regular, and how soft, is the 10/20 at the Mirage? How many tables are usually going on weekends? I'm going to be out over Labor Day weekend, and I'm staying there. The only regular 10/20 I've found in LA (HPC) is pretty tight/passive -- not the kind of game I like to sit in. I'm on a limited bankroll for that weekend, though, so I'm only willing to play 15/30 if it's significantly better (i.e. looser) than the 10/20. I'd surmise that on a holiday weekend the games will be better than usual, with more "tourists", but what's your experience?

I just got back from my second Vegas trip in two weeks, but I unfortunately only played at Bellagio. Anyway, as far as I remeber the 10-20 was good far more often then not, and I have fairly high standards when choosing games to sit in. If the game isn't worth at least a fair amount then i simly wont play or I get up and leave. The best thing here in my opinion is to look at games between 8-16, 10-20, and 15-30, that way you have a choice and can very likely find a soft game. I played for about 40 hours in vegas last month and the 15-30 at the Bellagio is one of the most inconsistent games Ive seen. They literally go from bad to good to great etc in short periods of time. So choose your games wisely.

El Dukie- the first 10-20 game (on Table 1) is tight as hell, with numerous regulars who only play hands ranked 1-3 (and some only play 1-2). I play that game when I want to "punish" myself for being a bad girl. The second game (which will go on the Labor Day weekend) is a much softer game. Look for the Babe when you are there. I think if you are on a limited bank, the 10-20 is much better for you than the 15-30. Once you build up your kitty, you can always try the 15-30 (which plays waaayyyy looser than the 10-20). Babe.

Babe,

Thanks for the response. I'll probably be playing in the late evening/night timeframe on Saturday & Sunday. Like most of the rest of the tourists in town that weekend, I'll be wearing UW-Badgers gear to blend in....

Babe is a daytime player, so try to find me before sundown (like 3-4pm). Have a safe trip, and hope to meet you. Babe
