Table loose aggressive. (*very* aggressive, in fact.) The guy who raised any raiser wasn't in it though. 5-7 players to a flop, which was frequently raised. Fun table, everyone laughing, joking, and raising like mad. Truly awesome. There's no small blind in the 2/4 at the casino, which is why it's not in there.

2/4 Hold'em, 9 handed

Shalara has A /images/graemlins/spade.gifK /images/graemlins/spade.gif UTG.

Shalara raises, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP3 calls, BB calls.

(5 players, 10 small bets)

Flop: T /images/graemlins/heart.gif 5 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 3 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Shalara (UTG) bets, UTG+1 raises, UTG+2 calls, MP3 calls, big blind calls, Shalara 3-bets, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP3 calls, blind calls.

I'm trying to work on this whole value-betting thing. Was this 3-bet okay?

You're fine, especially with the table description and flop action making it likely that you won't lose anybody with the 3 bet.

Nut flush draw with 2 overs? 5 players staying to see the turn? I'm value raising the flop until the cows come home. You wish someone would cap the darned thing! No action indicating better than one pair out there (so far). Your hand looks really, really good.

How many other people did you need to call flop bets to make this value bet correct?

If you A and K outs are both clean, one (http://www.twodimes.net/poker/?g=h&b=Th+5s+3s&d=&h=As+Ks%0D%0A9h+Tc%0D%0A5d+4c), if the overcards aren't clean, two ([url=http://www.twodimes.net/poker/?g=h&b=Th+5s+3s&d=&h=As+Ks%0D%0A9h+Tc%0D%0A5d+4c). If somebody has a set, you need three (http://www.twodimes.net/poker/?g=h&b=Th+5s+3s&d=&h=As+Ks%0D%0A9h+Tc%0D%0A5d+5c%0 D%0A6h+7h). You had a big overplay here. Remeber, the twodimes hands are merely illustarative of the power of your hand here and may overstate the type of hands you should expect from loose low limit opponents. Play around with the scenarios to get a feel for how different card matchups effect your hand's strength here.
