Didn't play it smart at all, but the truth is I'm not sure how to play it with the shallow stacks on Party. Do I just call the reraise and fold when no A or K hits? Do I push on top of his reraise. All advice appreciated.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (9 handed)

BB ($210.65)
UTG ($96)
Hero ($100)
MP1 ($149.60)
MP2 ($175.05)
MP3 ($455.30)
CO ($179.40)
Button ($98.75)
SB ($24.40)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG folds, Hero raises to $8, MP1 raises to $20, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero raises to $40, MP1 raises to $149.6 (All-In), Hero folds.

Final Pot: $192.60

Depends who MP1 is. Look at your poker tracker stats on this person. No matter what, never minraise. You either call, fold, or shove. With that said, I wouldn't ever shove here.

Everything about this action screams QQ-AA, and if MP1 is bad enough, JJ. You shoving produces one of 3 scenarios:

Once in a while, they actually call with JJ/QQ. Now you're in a coinflip situation with your whole stack.

If they're a complete buffoon, they were raising with nothing, and fold, and you win $23.

90% of the time, they happily call and double up with their KK or AA.

So would you cold call the reraise or just fold? It sucks to have bad position, but it is AK... I think the best road would be to cold call and make a move if an A or K hits, then fold to big resistance again.

This is the player dependant part. If you don't have any poker tracker stats on the player, then how often do you see this guy raising? If he's raising / betting preflop with a wide range of hands, then I'll call. There aren't a lot of players who I'd call against, but they definitely exist. Especially on the weekends.
