Another beginner question, i have a few.

.50/1 10 max (7 playing)

Ks Qc mp2

utg calls, i call, co call, button calls, sb folds, bb calls. pot $2.75

Should i be raising here? My nhlm experince says that rasing is bad here. Does this hold true with limit?

Flop 8c Qh 2s

utg bets, i raise, co folds, button calls, utg calls. pot $7.25

Is raising here correct, i think so.

Turn 5s

utg bets, i call, button calls. Pot $10.25

I'm not sure what utg has here, so i call, should i again raise?

River 5d

utg bets, i call, button calls. pot $13.25

I think im ahead more than 1 in 12, but would rather not reopen the betting. is this correct.

utg shows 5h 5c
button has 6d Qc

Can i learn something from utg play on the flop or is his betting incorrect?

many thanks

Harry

1. Raise this preflop.
2. I tend to slow down on a stop-n-go.
3. His flop bet was absolutely horrible.

You'll get more responses if you use bison's hand converter so the hand looks purty and is easier to read:

Raise preflop, otherwise I play it the same.

Don't look at UTG's play and think it was any good. He bet a flop with two overcards, and called the raise. The pot wasn't anywhere near large enough for his call.

Considering he didn't re-raise you on the flop, you can't really credit him with much at that point so I would have raised the turn. When you get re-raised here, then I would have slowed down.

And yes, villain's flop bet was abysmal.
