I am primarily an online player. Have been playing 1/2NL -5/10Nl and some 15/30 limit online..
I have started to make trips to the indian casinos around my area just because I occasionally crave some live action. Anyhow, I hadn't been in about 6 months and my game is vastly improved from last time I was there. I was playing some 2/5 NL with no max buy in. The seat to my right was open and an older asian guy sat down and the dealer and him seemed to have a repoir with eachother. So I made the assumtion he was a regular. Anyhow - I was in middle position when he sat down. The very next hand the dealer dealt him cards and he did not post.

Question #1:
If a player comes from another table or is switching tables alot is he generally required to post at each new table? Or will dealers make exceptions if they knew someone just got moved?
Question #2:
Would it be rude if I would have said something. I seriously thought about it after the hand was over because he was dealt AKs and he ended up winning a 300 dollar pot and then got up and moved again.

The Casino is pretty nice - I don't suspect foul play or anything. It just seemed like he got to skip the post and the hand should not have happened the way it did.

The second part of my post is with tipping. There was an old lady at the table. Who also seemed like a regular. She had amassed quite a number of chips - 2500 or so, so I assumed she was decent or running well. She was very patient and emotionless. Anyhow - I won 1 big pot, and I tipped two 1 dollar chips. The next hand I won another smallish pot - 50 dollars or so - I raise preflop got 1 caller and took it down. I didn't tip that hand. The dealers down was over - and a new dealer came. When the new dealer sat, the old lady was to the dealers left and commented how people never tip under her breath, I didn't notice at first, but when I realized what she was doing it bothered me a little. The next pot I won I tipped in a very boisterous style while looking at her, showing her it didn't get to me. But to be honest her comments did make me a little irritated. Anyhow - whats the best way to deal with this? I don't want a new dealer to think im some punk kid who doesen't tip just because some regular who barely knows me decides to go out of there way to be judgemental...

Anyhow any responses would be appreciated, as i've logged probably 10000 hours in online play but about 20 hours in B and M play...

This is something that might vary from room to room, I don't know. At Canterbury Park, which is decidedly not an Indian casino, if you move from a must move game to the main game, you don't have to post, and in fact you can wait until the blinds pass and take free hands behind the button. The same is true if you come from a broken game at the same or a higher limit. Apart from that, if you're new to a game, you must post in order to be dealt in, but that may not be the rule in every room.

Tipping is entirely voluntary. Don't feel pressured to tip on a $50 pot in a game that size, and don't worry about what some old lady thinks of you. I wouldn't be boistrous, and if I made eye contact with anybody, it would be the dealer. Just flip the dealer a chip and get on with the next hand.

At Caesar's In you have to post. At the Gold Strike in Tunica you do not have to post. The last time I was at the Excalibur, you did not have to post when entering the game.

At the casino 4 miles away you have to post. At the casino 124 miles away you don't have to post to sit down.
