Ive been having some flops that i just dont know how to play properly and i think im losing money by not winning as much as i should be. Heres the situation:
PP, .50 BB, unraised preflop action
I flop the ignorant (low end) of a straight and have to act first or after a check. Since it wasnt preflop bet, theres generally 5-7 players in. What is the proper way to play this from EP-MP on a rainbow or 2 tone flop? Its unlikely im beaten at the time, but when the board pairs its hard to figure where I am and the flush draw makes me vulnerable. My play has been to just push or soft play flop and push the turn on a blank. Any suggestions or questions wouldbe greatly appreciated.
To clarify: As an example, have 56s, flop will be 789

I'd play it exactly like I'd play bottom or middle set on a two-tone flop. What that means precisely depends on stack sizes, etc.
