I really felt like BB was setting me up for a check-raise on the flop. I had just seen him put a similar play on someone else, and I think it stuck with me. After he checked the turn I'm pretty sure I played it right, but the flop is a problem for me. Was this just me being a pansy?

Why would you think he was setting you up for a check-raise? He showed no aggression preflop. Just because he check-raised soemone on a previous hand doesn't mean you should start fearing one everytime he checks.

I would bet the flop here and check the turn unimproved.

I know, that's what I figured after the fact. Somehow my balls got sucked up into my stomach this hand.

Bet the flop, don't be afraid. Bet the turn. Bet the river, no aggression from anyone else, your AJ might be good here. Players at this limit will sometimes call down with ace high.
