I like the FTI- good to keep in mind whenever you think about making a deal

dave is a smart guy. he had a great short term martha stewart trade a little bit ago. read the article. his points are valid. although he implies it i would add that risk aversion differences are another reason you might find someone in the other side of a trade in the markets.

What I really liked about the FTI is that it isn't reserved to Wall Street. It should be a consideration in ANY transaction (including a poker hand, by the way) where you are considering exchanging one thing (money, barter) for another.


In short, "Why is this person willing to make this trade?"
