Cap here too? Can I really worry about 77 or QQ?

Final Pot: 27 BB

he's either got ducks or queens, and most likely ducks. 77 doesn't even cross my mind. I'd cap the turn, and probably raise the river too, and get a sinking feeling he has QQ and didn't raise preflop when he 3-bets.

You've gotta keep on betting with this hand. Nice job.

I expect here to see, in order of likelihood:
(1) 22
(2) 4/images/graemlins/club.gif5/images/graemlins/club.gif
(3) QQ

I guess something like Q3s is also fathomable, but would shock me. Because of SB's enormous aggression post-flop, it's also really hard to read him for limping QQ pre-flop. And what would capping 77 on the flop do for him? This is a guy who felt great about his hand every street, so I'm saying 22 60% of the time and 4/images/graemlins/club.gif5/images/graemlins/club.gif around 30% of the time.

I really like the flop play on this board.

Capping the turn is a must. You almost always have the best hand here.

I would put in 1 raise on the river is still shown aggression after capping the turn.

You're effectively getting 2:1 on all bets since UTG is along for the ride and you know that you have him beat. So put a lot of bets in.

BTW, UTG's hand most likely includes a queen, which reduces the chances that SB has QQ.

i cap flop and turn, and raise river once, then call river 3bet. the last bb probably doesnt make much difference, but I hold one back at this point just because i am now starting to think I maybe beat.

I'd be more worried about the 4 /images/graemlins/club.gif 5 /images/graemlins/club.gif

QQ, no way, 77, a slight possibility.

He had 22 to my 33. The rare and elusive set over set, and MHIG.

Seems like he may have played it a bit better than I. He never slowed down with his set.

that's really interesting. I never considered that.

Playing a fair amount of Stud is making me more alert to these things (e.g. the impact of "known" cards) and I'm trying to figure out some spots where they could plausibly impact Hold 'Em decisions ... might deserve a separate post at some point.

In a live $3-$6 game I played at Harrah's in Reno, the normally loose passive players came alive this one hand I wasn't involved with, with every street getting capped (to the maximum 5 bets there) and the punchline was set over set over set.

I haven't looked at the results.

You need to cap this on at least the turn. Your opponent is much more likely to hold 22 than QQ, since he didn't raise preflop. 77 is a real longshot since the SB was pretty excited about the flop. In fact, seeing this action, I'd put him squarely on 22. You win.

my 2 cents.
