The guy is freaking awesome right nowe. 7 innings tonight so far.

no runs. 2 hits. 1 walk.

Tory Hunter made an insane diving diving catch to end the inning in the 7th. Check ESPN tonight to see it.

Looks like he bested Pedro again.

I said he was the Cy Young about 2 months ago, along with a couple other people on here. He is the real deal.

Santana should be the Cy Young winner. My guess is he finishes first, Schilling second, Rivera third.

Good night for the Yankees. I realize it's just Kansas City, but Mussina was great again, and the Royals did score 17 last night. And they pick up a game when Tampa Bay is facing Pedro, an extra bonus.

I was one of those people. He locked it up right after I traded him from two fantasy baseball teams a month and a half into the season. It was a given after that. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Roger Clemens is 17-4. He's 135-53 since Dan Duquette gave up on him, saying he was in the twilight of his career. Pretty good, and long, twilight.

He just might win another Cy Young award.

give props to Santana. I'm a rsox faN but I can't give the nod to schilling. He (Schilling) has a better record but also has better run support. Santana beats him in era and one other crucial stat (I cant think of it right now)

EDIT: for clarification

And he's the only baseball player in the Rock-'n-Roll Hall of Fame!

Which one, Strikeouts, Opponents batting average (probably this one since Santana is like .185, and Schilling is .240-.250), Strikeouts/Walk ratio? There are so many to choose from

Rick Sutcliffe says he'd vote for Schilling, since he has 20 wins. Idiotic reason, I think. But then he said if Santana gets to 20, he'd reconsider. Even more idiotic. Santana has clearly been the best pitcher in the league and is on a division-winning team.

Interesting how the Yankees kept jumping on Pedro's first pitch today. First inning they had a single and a home run and made three outs and he threw eight pitches total.

Well, Sutcliffe is an idiot, so this shouldn't come as any sort of surprise...
