Just saw Arieh criticize Matt Dean for going all-in with JJ vs. his AK. Does Arieh realize that calling a big bet with the best hand is a good play?
And I was just starting to respect him after seeing him fold that flush against Murphy.

off/topic but john murphy played that 22 hand horrrrrrible.

he could have played the river in so many different ways and would have extracted plenty chips from josh

What did Arieh say about Dean's call w/ JJ? I didn't hear it for some reason.

I totally agree. I can't imagine what he was thinking... Arieh is so agressive that a check would definitely have induced a bet here...

After they turned over the cards, he said "I can't believe you went all-in with that"

I just saw the episode again. Arieh just mumbled it and didn't direct the comment at Dean. No biggie.

Yeah it didn't seem to me like he was saying it to put him down or to make him look dumb..it was just his natural reaction that me muttered to himself.

Yeah, it seemed worse the first time i heard it. But still, it sounded like he was saying that Dean was unjustified in calling.

"What a joke. He calls a half a million dollars with a pair of 5's."

This guy is a prick. Impossible to root for and somehow more annoying than Hellmuth.

Everytime this guy opens his mouth, he sounds like more of a prick. That 55 vs. AK hand is the one I'm talking about. His apology that was posted here the other day? As far as I'm concerned that was a load of BS. Its like Norman Chad said, "I'm tired of these guys acting like punks and apologizing afterwards", and thats all that apology was.

As long as we all agree Williams play was terrible.
The comment was unnecessary but correct.

arieh is the bigges ass i've ever seen. I thought that his appoligy on RGP was him saying that he made a mistake, but this episode clearly shows that that is how he acts all the time.

Well said to Williams after Greg busts him out.

What a douche.

Am I the only one who likes Arieh? He seems like a genarally nice person, and a fairly cool guy. He needled a bit, but nothing like Matusow or Ngyuen (any of them)

"Am I the only one who likes Arieh?"

I think you may be...I wanted to, after reading card Player. Good player, hot wife, beautiful little girls. Said he was trying to overcome his brash image....

But he comes off as such an arrogant guy. I hope he pulls it together. He needs to watch some tapes of Doyle.

Then again, he's rich anyway. maybe he won't care about his image.

He completed invalidated the RGP apology and anything else he said.

We don't need another Phil H or Mike Matasow (sp?).

This after Greg told him he was his toughest competition, praising him for his play. He's definitely an ass, and people like him and Matusow are making me appreciate whiny Phil more.
