Been playing Party $5+1s, and after the first 57 tournaments, my numbers look like:

49.12% itm
10 first
5 second
13 third

The difference between my first 30 and last 27 are night and day, though. Through my first 30, my 1st/2nd/3rd distribution was 9-3-3, while the last 27 have seen 1-2-10.

I don't feel like I'm playing much differently, although it feels like in my last 27 tourneys I've squeaked into the money with a small stack, been the agressor with a second-best hand or bluff, and lost to better tickets.

It's tough to describe what's going on without histories, but generally, what sort of changes -- particularly shorthanded -- can I make to start turning more of my 3rds into 2nds and 1sts?

I don't know. 57 is a small sample.

But I will tell you that you have 33% ROI and you would have had a 45% ROI if you had been playing $5 + $0.50 S&Gs.

I'm not sure if the extra $0.50 per game is worth anything to you or if you are just trying to learn at low levels. But 57 * $0.50 is $28.50 more in fees than you needed to be paying. Other sites have lower fee at the $5 level.
