I'm getting unsolicited pop-up ads everytime I launch Internet Explorer every minute or so. I even have the "pop-up blocker" feature turned on on the browser. The are annoying and slow my computer down to a crawl at times.

What do you use to destroy these pesky pop-up ads? I know something was installed unbeknownst to me, and I can't find it. I've used Ad-aware 6.0 and Spybot-Search and Destroy with only moderate success. Any other free/cheap software out there? Or is there a technique internally to get rid of them?

Ah, this is my speciality!

Not even Microsoft uses Microsoft IE.

Stop using IE, and stop d/l'ing from peer-to-peer aps. Those are the reasons most people's computers get trashed.
