Big tourney at my house. 22 Friday, 24 Saturday. Played down to 5 players each night, "final table" this friday night.
Hand of both nights; My wife is the button. Cutoff raises to 1000 chips (4xbb) preflop (~7k is the average stack) with 7 players left. She calls, all else fold. Flop comes TJ8 rainbow. Cutoff bets 1000, she calls. River ace. He bets 1000, she goes all-in, he calls immediately.
Cutoff shows Q9 for a straight.
My wife shows KQ, for the nut straight.
Cutoff ends up not finishing, out in 6th place.
