Atlantic City B/M weekend NL $1/2 game, Min buyin=$60, Max=$300. Cashed in for $150, which was "won" money from the previous day's session. Here's how the hand went down.
I'm in LP with KK. Early position player, "JUST SAT DOWN" calls $2 BB. Mid position player, "EXTREMELY LOOSE", makes it $10. Folded to me, I raise to $35. JUST SAT DOWN calls $33. EXTREMELY LOOSE folds (DAMN! He's the one I wanted!)
Flop: 8c 9c 3h.
JUST SAT DOWN bets $15. I raise all-in (approx $118).
Called.
"You probably have me beat," he says.
"I only have Kings."
"Well, you're winning, but I have outs."
"Flush Draw?"
"No."
Turn: [8c 9c 3h] 9s
River: [8c 9c 3h 9s] 8 or 3 (two pair on board).
Flips his 9 and apologizes.
"Sorry man - I thought you were bluffing."
So... I might have done one of two things wrong. (Or both):
(1) My raise to $35 wasn't enough. I think it was, considering that I wanted to isolate Mr. Loose and have him pay me off. I didn't expect EP player to call, but when he did, I didn't mind, I knew I was winning at this point.
(2) My all-in bet was probably way to much, and looking back, it screams: I'm buying the pot. But, with the flush possibility on board, I wanted to destroy his pot odds in calling. With top pair, 9's, he called with NO hesitation. When he called, I thought he definitely hit a set.
Q9o. Nice. This adds to my theory that online poker is RIGGED! NOTE: This hand took place in a B/M casino.
Post your comments on my horrible play. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
