a while back i posted a hand about flopping a set
on a monotone board... i played too passively

well, history repeats itself, but on this occassion
the 4th flush card comes on the turn. is *this* the
time to slow down? or keep on pounding

UTG is a LAG who has won some pots, but goes on
to lose $180 in about 30 minutes

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with T/images/graemlins/heart.gif, T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG calls, <font color="666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="666666">7 folds</font>, UTG calls.

Flop: (5.50 SB) T/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>
<font color="CC3333">UTG bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="CC3333">UTG 3-bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero caps</font>, UTG calls.

Turn: (6.75 BB) 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>
<font color="CC3333">UTG bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="CC3333">UTG 3-bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: (12.75 BB) 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>
<font color="CC3333">UTG bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">Hero raises</font>, UTG calls.

Final Pot: 16.75 BB

Obviously MHIG as UTG turns over Jh7s

I would not raise the turn. Do you want him to fold a non-spade hand that's probably drawing dead? Did you enjoy getting 3-bet?

Thanks bison

i had no doubt the LAG would not fold even a non-spade
hand, but in general I can see what you mean.

no, i definitely did not enjoy the 3-bet /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Please, slow down a bit.

people take this aggro thing way too literally. With the extra bets on 4th ST, you were "gambling" that your opponent didn't have a spade. Put your money in when you have the best of it and back off when you might not.
