B&M 4/8 game, running a little tight/passive. First time playing B&M and I'm totally playing the role for all it's worth. I fold every hand my first orbit.

EP Aggressive scary quiet player with a big stack raises from EP. Folded to me in the CO with 99. I don't feel like folding, so I cold-call. Blinds fold.

Flop is A73r

EP Bets, I squawk "Raise!" as I fumble with shaking hands to get 8 chips across the line...

Hi Fnord,

I've played the 4-8 games in Tulalip, and my experience has been that the games are much tighter than online or pretty much anywhere else in the world. An EP raise means AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK, AQ, or AJs (at worst). You are losing to all these hands. The only thing you can hope for is that the raiser is weak-tight enough to fold KK, QQ, or JJ to your flop raise (when he checks to you on the turn and you bet). The pot is too small to take this chance. Fold!
