Generally, I don't worry about quads much until I see them. It's not like this is no limit and you can lose your whole stack. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't cap the river.

I wouldnt fear quads

But I would give him respect for a 9 on the flop and just check/call the turn. You raised preflop and 3-bet his flop raise. What else would he be betting this hard here?

I play it the same way. After getting raised on the turn, I would just call down. Once you spike an A, you are only behind 99. You have to cap this river. Nice hand.

I'd play it the same way. Looking at the flop and the turn action, I give him credit for one 9. If he had 99, he's not going to go berserk on the flop and drive everyone out to get it heads-up.

In a live game, I would go seven or eight bets on the river before slowing down.

You realize it was already heads up before the flop was dealt? /images/graemlins/grin.gif Nonetheless, it is difficult to believe that he would be pushing this hard on the flop with quads.

Hey guys, new to the forum.

Would anyone consider him on A9o?

It was unreal, but he had the 99. I didn't think he'd push that hard with them, but he did. Oh well, I win that hand the other 98% of the time.

I was looking for thought on my play of it though, and I think I got some good input. Thanks.
