Live 4/8 at the Muckleshoot. Villian in the hand is in seat 6, i'm in 7. I was supposed to take seat 6, but he moved there from 7 because he couldn't see the board from 7. Seriously.

Anyway, I'm on the button and pick up J /images/graemlins/heart.gifJ /images/graemlins/spade.gif. 4 limpers, I raise, blinds fold, two limpers call.

Flop K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif7 /images/graemlins/club.gif6 /images/graemlins/club.gif

Checked to me, I bet, both limpers call.

Turn is a blank, like the 3 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

Checked to me again, I bet, limper one folds, grandpa-squared C/R's, I fold. Thoughts?

Its ok Grandpa is straightforward player and has 54, unless he is so blind that he thinks he has 54, then you mucked a winner.

Ummm...grandpa could have a singleton King. In fact, I imagine that grandpa's little move here suggests that his kicker just paired. Or even more rock-like, he thinks his set of sevens is good.
Sure, he could have 54, but there are plenty of ways to beat hero right now.

Though I'm being horribly stereotypical--if grandpa plays in ways other than Rockish, please tell me, and I'll amend my (non) read.

By all means i agree that grandpa has some of that flop 2 pair is very likely. I also agree that hero might be drawing to a 2 outer, if he isnt already drawing dead.

Ehhhh....
I drink too much and become a literalist. I've gotten really good at closing my Party app. at this point in the night.

I'm still working on closing my IE. Sorry if I misinterpreted you. Your point, and mine, is SMALL POT + ROCK + TURN RAISE
=Fold.

NP I think this one is pretty straightforward.

One bump for the aggro weekday crowd. If said hand is standard, then let it ease off the first page, never to be seen again.

Grandpa was the last one in the pot, he wins.

There are two common scenarios I see when playing live against Father Time:

1.) He has the goods...100% of the time.

2.) He thinks he can use his ancient wisdom to outsmart a young whipper-snapper.

In any case, with an overcard on the board, I would probably let it go.

He took it down when I folded. Didn't see what he had. I felt that the chance I was drawing to two outs was very, very high.
