Been only playing at stars since 2 weeks after site started. Winning just under 2 BB/100 hands at 5/10 6 max.
preflop % = 26% (statistically significant sample)

4 weeks ago signed up for party. In 17k hands, am making over 6 BB/100 (5/10 6 max) playing 38% preflop.

Will being this loose preflop catch up to me? The players seem so much worse I tend to get into some bad situations thinking I can outplay them post-flop. There seem to be too many players that fold too often, so I think I am entering with a ton of bluffing equity, and if I hit top pair, will normally be best. I don't play more than 2 tables at a time, and think I make good player specific adjustments, and leave games where I don't think this loose pre-flop style will do well. If other players are playing over 50% of hands, does that make a difference?

Still, am I on the path towards a big downswing? Are there other winning players entering that many pots?

Well obviously you are due for a downswing at 6BB/100. I think most here are somewhere in the mid 20s with their VPiP. It might just be that you've been getting some really nice cards which would also help explain your high winrate (but that seems pretty unlikely over 17K hands).

38 is way too far. 31-32 looks ok for me.
