Typical table, a bit loose with LAG tendencies. BB stood out as super LAG with 55VPIP and 20+ preflop raises.

I like it, presuming your reads are correct.
BB made a straight on the turn, and realized it was worthless on the river. At least for a psycho he knows when he is beat.

I'm scared here too--only because of the number of callers, that someone else has a playable boat. But I think I take your line anyway.

Nice play.

my favorite line is BB check-capping the turn then check-folding the river. that's my favorite line to take in a tough situation.

I think you played it well, especially the turn 3-bet. since you were 3-bet preflop and he raised the river, it looks like trips, which means the chances of someone having the other A with a paired kicker is slim.

I like the way you played it. The only danger is that MP1 could have AA... he played it like AA but he could have played a big A the same. The AA should be a minor fear, and should not prevent you from rockn and rollin with your set. When you flop a set you want as much action on flop as they are willing to give.

Well, I'm glad everyone liked it, because I thought I was a nut.

MP1 had AA for quad Aces
MP2 had QJo for the turned straight that he knew was no good but couldn't lay down.

I thought that was pretty obvious after MP2's 3bet on the turn.

How sure do I need to be that MP2 has the straight AND Mp1 has AA? Because I was pretty sure on the turn when I faced 3 cold, but couldn't lay it down because of the size of the pot.

I would also have the feeling that I was behind to a straight on turn, but you cannot fold turn unless the MP1 says "Hey jacki, look at these" and then shows you his pocket aces- thus showing you that you are drawing to 1 out. Otherwise you have to see river in this spot.

Yeah, I don't think you were a nut. Straights are fun to break.
