from a story regarding this nasty storm "Ivan"

A 75-year-old Canadian woman was found drowned in a canal swollen by flood waters in Barbados. Neighbors said the Toronto native, who had lived in Barbados for 30 years, braved the storm to search for her cat.

Granny loves her pussy.

however, Granny was in Boca Raton during Andrew and did not even get a direct hit, but i still soiled myself (more than usual)

point is, the pussy has to die. get the hell out

While she may have been Canadian, you would find a similar loyalty in various Grannies around the world. To some, their pets aren't worth living without.

i apologize to you.

i should have mentioned that this was just a good natured jab. i have some canadian friends, and we trade insulting posts at each other.

no offense to the innocent

Bob and Doug McKenzie did us a great disservice.

But they were pretty funny, eh?

Enough said, gotta go chop some wood to run my electric generator, eh?

yes, but the quality of your hookers has gone a long way to repair this blight on your reputation.

You live in Boca Raton? I am jealous, that place is awesome.

Oh well, bobs your uncle.

It wasn't bravery, she was trying to ask the cat where the shelter was.

born in my-YAM-ee, worked in Boca till i was older than most posters here. went from there to key west, to biloxi and now in Ct. i am headed the wrong way. i was born where everyone dies, and am dying where everyone was born.

i don't miss boca tho. too damn hot, too much schvitzing.

It is better that you cast your vote in Connecticut than in Florida. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Many stories like this each year. The irony is that most of them end with the discovery of the cat (or dog)- dirty, disoriented, and alive. People underestimate animals instinct for survival and overestimate their own chances. Very -EV.

the discovery of the cat (or dog)- dirty, disoriented, and alive

yes, this is true.

therefore, it must have been a cat purchased or hatched in barbados. a canidian cat only knows how to survive a blizzard. big deal.

160mph would lauch a canadian cat 4 miles

Most old people are pretty ignored by their kids. A fair number of them commit suicide. A cat is the only living company some old people have.

This is very true. And if you want the land of true animal sentimentality look at Britain.

I believe that this unmitigated attack on Canadian pussy is unfounded and arrogant.

As a Canadian pussy owner, I categorically deny that a Canadian pussy would not be able to survive in a foreign land.

Canadian pussies are proud, able, and gentle like any other pussy in the world. If you pet a Canadian pussy you will experience just as much, if not more, pleasure as you would from any other. They respond to a kind touch and slow gentle stroking with the same sensitivity as all those foreign pussies.

Long live Canadian pussies and bless the old ladies who have them.
