Do you think that people who do not live in the USA have enough information to make a decision on who should be president, and even if they do, why should their opinion matter?

Zeno
09-09-2004, 02:19 PM
None of the morons polled in those other countries vote in U.S. Elections.

And what is a major ally and do we have 35 major allies? We don't have any major allies left anyway (well one) so all this is a moot point in my opinion.

I don't give a rats ass what people in other countries think. Their idiotic views should be ignored.

30 of 35 equals all.

Why is Canada the only country named specifically?

At least your world view is aligned with your candidate.

To the extent that this reflects the how the world currently views the US, it matters a little. If the poll just reflects a preference of one candidate over the other, it doesn't matter at all then I agree with you --- who gives a rip?

But it feels good to treat the UN like they're useless doesn't it?

[/ QUOTE ]

Does the article even mention the UN once? Does the article have anything to do with the UN?

The UN is useless in determining the president of the united states. Beyond that, I think they have great value. The cost of the war also has nothing to do with the article.

You are really jumping to conclusions...

Insulting the UN pissed off the governments and populations of many countries. I do not doubt that if Kerry is elected we will get more cooperation from around the globe. Obviously there is no way to prove this, but evidence supports it.

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]What? Did you miss the word "major"?

The only 3 countries where Bush got the majority were Nigeria, Poland, and the Philippines.

The two who were statistically tied were India and Thailand.

You're having a tough time with this posting thing. When you reply to someone and quote someone else in the response (as if you were quoting the person to whom you were responding) it is misleading.

[ QUOTE ]
Insulting the UN pissed off the governments and populations of many countries

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. I wouldn't have done it, nor would the candidates that I support for national office. It really has nothing to do with whether it is important what the poll results were in other countries, but I guess that's irrelevant.

Again I refer back to the american intellect. It is held in such high esteem by the world.

Best question asked me by an american at an american university.

Yank: Gee you speak good english
Me: Yes Im from England
Yank: What language do they speak there?
LOL.

Yes the general knoweldge, intellect and geogprahic understanding of your average american is truely marveled at by the world community.

"a level of true freedom the rest of the world doesn't understand."

I find that a little rich coming from the purported president of the country with by far and away the highest level of imprisonment in the world. If that's "true freedom" you can keep it.

King, your comments about the "American intellect" are absurd and offensive.

Sorry you think that but I was only giving the yanks a dose of there own medicine.

I didnt call them morons or idiots did I.

"None of the morons polled in those other countries vote in U.S. Elections. "

" "I don't give a rats ass what people in other countries think. Their idiotic views should be ignored. "

Then MMMMMMMMMMMM gave us:

"Are you saying that if someone doesn't live in the US then their views are idiotic?"

Well, I would say, most likely they are.

Given those pearls of wisdom I will stand by my assertion that the intellect of the average yank is less than that of your average European.

Yes. Mostly.

I did make a remark sort of asking if anyone was taking this thread seriously. Obviously some people did but I regarded the whole thread, more or less, as pointless and a joke. So I treated it like one. Some, possibly, took offense. So be it. Death to all Foreigners - they are all idiots anyway and are all going to Hell because they don't live in God's country - America.

There - That should offend everyone.
