just wondering...

i once saw a guy at a limit 10/20 sit down with 100k.

i don't how i would feel with that much of my $$ in the hands on an online poker site

that'd be scary becasue losing a 500 dollar pot wouldnt be too bad, and to me a 20 dollar pot is nice for me!! (i play on microtables)

There is a big difference there.

whats funny is that he seemed to be a rather poor player, although i only played with him about 45 minutes.

never saw him again

Might have been a friend/wife/relative of the good player that earned that money. Could be an employee as another poster suggested. Doubtful he won a major event if he wasn't that good and doubtful he deposited that much.

either way, I keep an amount I should be uncomfortable with online, but rationalize it with the fact that none of the money remaining in my account is part of my initial deposits. "Playing with the house's money" as most losing gamblers would say.

I've seen neverwin and rabscutte with more on Pstars, however they were spread across like 2-3 tables.

I'd think after like $60k I'd probably want to cash some out, even if I played in the $100/200, maybe like $75K if I played in the $25/50NL on UB. It just kinda creeps me out.

When playing with a friend at the Paradise .02/.04 tables, I typically sit down with $1000 or 25,000BB. If anybody asks I tell then that I won it all at .02/.04 /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I was playing 1/2 this one time, and got into a "you suck, no you suck!" verbal match with another player. So I busted out my $532 BR and put it all on the table at once! I was like, "oh yeah, I suck huh???" that sure shut him up. Man, the table broke up right after that, and I think its cuz they were all so intimidated by my HUGE stack. Heh, I felt like a pimp for the rest of the day. I even did that funny pimp walk, everyone at the grocery store was looking at my funny when I was buying my groceries that night, but I didnt care, cuz I knew I was the [censored]!!

I saw a guy sit down at the $30/60 on PokerStars with $352,295. His nickname was Mr. Steal. I've got a screen shot of it, but I don't know how to post it on here.

$532 was indended to indimidate people? Please tell me you're kidding. I'd probably die of laughter if somebody did that to me.

I thought the same then re-read it and realised it was a joke. Not a good one, but still a joke.

wow, over 300k even.

wonder if he won one of the big Pstars tourney to get that much....

This makes me think of another question. With the thousands of online poker players, what happens if soemone dies? Unless the surviving spouse/benefactors specifically know their online accounts and logons, i guess the sites just get to pocket it....as no one would ever cash it out.

another reason to not keep a large roll online, you might make "the list".

You don't have your screen names and passwords in your will! For shame. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Ya, probably. Since most sites have an inactivity expiration period in their T&C's I'm sure they'd just chalk it up as an inactive account. Good idea to leave all your login info with your family, I guess. I'm still trying to figure out why you'd keep that much online tho....What in the hell are you possibly going to need more than $350,000 online. Wonder how long the cashout would take to process /images/graemlins/confused.gif

350 days. $1k/day via Neteller. Make sure you have a fireproof safe at home.

are you sure it takes that long?
can you have a check sent to your home?
I find it hard to believe people have to wait that long. I could easily be wrong though, it has happened before.

No he is incredibly wrong. You can take out much more than that. Also, if I won like $50K in a tourney, I'd do it by like a wire transfer or something.
