The NL wildcard is tight. The Astros are now tied with the Giants at a half-game back of the Chicago Cubs.

Huston has won 11 in a row. Are these guys for real? They play a three game set against St. Louis next week so maybe that will answer the question.

I had hoped for a big season from the stros this year. Their winning streak is due to fact they are mashing the ball. Unfortunately their bats will probably cool off. The staring rotation is patchwork due to injury, and the bullpen is sketchy. I fear they are going to come up a little short, I hope they can pull it off though. I wish they would make a real effort to sign Beltran. Bagwell, Kent, and Biggio will all be gone after 2 or 3 more seasons.
