Tommy's digression on 'outplay' called to mind a few expressions that either annoy or amuse. One that amuses: "I figure I had odds to try and flop a set". There are many variants to this whole trying to flop a set thing, including, I assume, not trying to flop a set under the set someone else tried to flop.
