I wonder what stocks will be impacted when magnetic motors hit the major markets. It's obvious world oil and gas resources are rapidly being depleted.

With new companies in Europe and Asia getting a head start on magnetic motors/energy sources, I'm wondering if U.S. auto makers (F, GM, etc.) and other companies (GE..?) will be able to profitably license such technology or develop their own?

Any thoughts?

Here's a couple links to some innovating magnetic motors... the Perendev one is especially neat, it uses no external power sources to start generating energy. I believe the Minato motors use just 20% of power required by conventional motors. I could really see these things being in vehicles of the future and for powering homes, appliances, and other electric devices.

Are there other viable alternatives that are free of pollution and dependance on fossil fuels?

Will G.W.B. occupy Germany or Japan for this technology? /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

FYI: I don't really play the markets anymore, would like to if I have time... but thought this was interesting.

New designs for electric motors are common and have been around since Tesla (infact most of them were probably Tesla's). Ideas for playing that market are buying copper producers [PD], electric controls (sevcon [TO]), manufacters like Emerson.

If you want a money loosing penny stock try Borealis [BOREF] which has an electric motor amoungst it's ideas that are always just about ready to go into production.
