Hand 1: Given the two overcards and your nemesis's uncanny ability to call off his chips, I think you wasted 250 chips on the turn. Once you're called on the flop, it's time to shut down.

Hand 2: Looks like he's got a little trickery in him if he's folding for only 395 more chips. Good play.

Hand 3: Good.

Hand 4: A little bigger than pot-sized raise pre-flop. You might want to check hand histories to make sure you're not giving tells with your bet sizes. Tough luck on this hand, nice comeback from 270 chips, however.

Hand 5: No point bluffing into a calling station. Good job.

Hand 1 was the first hand I had played against him and the one which dictated my play against him in the later hands. If he's going to limp and call a large raise preflop with K8s, I'm going to take full advantage of him. I almost always fire two barrels however, and I think that against a random party opponnent, I might have wanted to make a bigger turn bet to knock him off of a jack. Had I known the opponnent at that time, I check the turn and probably fold the river unless he makes it real cheap.

I don't know what the hell he had in hand 2, was out of character for him. Hand 3, I was prepared to go all in on the flop if he raised me, if he flips over 2 hearts, I shrug and say nh and hope to draw out.

The reason I overbet the pot in hand 4 was because I knew he would call, as he had never limped in and then folded to my raise, and that he probably had crap. I would have made the same raise with any raising hand. That fact, combined with being out of position and having a lot of limpers is also why I raised so large in hand 3.

Hindsight is 20/20, but when I was reading the action on the last hand I expected you to push when the PF action got back to you.

Did you call thinking that he'd call your push anyhow and you wanted to see the flop before commiting you whole tourney? Given that he had a much bigger stack and is a calling station I can see that line.

I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just interested in your thought process on the 20 call PF.

I'm also interested in how others would calculate their FE when up against a big stack calling station.

To me, when the action comes back PF, I push with AK to try to isolate.

Does anyone not push here due to the stack sizes and the villian's propensity to call?

Or do you push due to the stack sizes and the villan's propensity to call?

regards,
woodguy

I probably would have pushed, but MP3's reraise was only 20 chips.
