I guess you're pretty much on the boredom railroad between ages 6 and 16, so we did some odd things. Like hang off moving trains and make spaghetti with saliva sauce.


But the one thing you just reminded me of, was like a pact I had with one friend. Specifically, if I died - which was likely - and he had a chance, he was supposed to steal a piece.


Then he was supposed to go to the grocery store, buy some meat, go home and swap the piece of me with the meat, plastic wrap it, and sneak it back into the refrigerator bin.


How's that for life after death, immortality, and reaching out beyond the grave to throw a wrench in the machine - being served to her toddlers on the grill by some unwitting housewife?


Oh that I had died, I would have amounted to so much more than I have in life. I surely never expected I would live this long! I bet my meat is all gamey by now:-(
