Betting patterns like MP2's have me scratching my head.

Why not pop the river?

C'mon, you know you missed a bet on the river. What hands are you afraid of? Broadway...unlikely, AK...sometimes that happens, but you still have to bet or check-raise here, if you're pretty sure MP2 will bet, then check-raise.
By the way, I also think you should check-raise the turn. you have 14 outs to improve to a hand that is likely to win giving you about 30% pot equity while you're getting 3-1 on you're money.
