View Full Version : Why can't the Party 5/10 be more like Pacific?

Just wanted to know if any of you guys had any major problems adjusting to the Party 5/10 after moving up from 2/4 and 3/6?

The players tend to be much tighter and trickier than what I'm used to at Party 3/6 or 5/10 at Pacific. For some reason, I constantly think that everyone is trying to take shots at me or "outplay" me and I end up calling down with second best hands or just plain confused after being checkraised on the turn.

I've got a 5/10 bankroll of 600BB and I would like to move up, but my confidence is starting to be shaken by continuous, albeit small, losing sessions. Any suggestions or words of encouragment?

I think you'll find that several people here, including myself, have had a rough go at Party 5/10.

And I don't know why. /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Shorthanded 5/10 is where the money's at, from what I've heard. There's gold in them thar high-variance hills.
