If this should go in the beginner's forum, I apologize - I am trying to help a friend out by giving him some advice to tighten up his play, I told him to lay off the suited connectors for now, only play strong hands and hammer the pot. Also I told him to play any pairs if he can get to see the flop for cheap otherwise fold the low ones in EP if the table is aggressive PF. I'd appreciate any advice if you see any of this as drastically off (sorry to sponge).

that seems fairly reasonable (absent of my critiquing every choice), but you should make a distinction for your friend about playing in raised versus unraised pots - you have to tighten up a lot if there's been a raise before you enter. AJ offsuit is a good example here, if I'm first in I raise, if there's a raise before me I muck.

I think it's a little tight for low limit but its good for a beginner I guess.
