Not sure if this the right forum, but I wanted to ask somewhere...
An older player at our local B&M was recanting a long ago story to us, wherein there were two players remaining at the river, but a third, who thought he was still in, bet, and the other two folded.
The dealer collected and mucked the folded cards, shipped the third man the pot, and slowly realized that the third man didn't have any cards, since he'd folded on the turn. Our storyteller said that all hell broke loose and it was a big mess for the floorman, but he said that he couldn't remember the final decision.
Any ideas what it could possibly have been?
I'm quite curious.
Thanks, Jonathan
