Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (7 handed)

EDIT: $50 SNG

saw flop|<font color="C00000">saw showdown</font>

MP1 (t1062)
MP2 <font color="purple">(StraightForwardPlayer)</font> (t1545)
CO <font color="purple">(Unknown)</font> (t1450)
Hero (t905)
SB (t1393)
BB (t2345)
UTG (t1300)

Preflop: Hero is Button with X, X.
UTG folds, MP1 calls t100, <font color="CC3333">MP2 <font color="purple">(StraightForwardPlayer)</font> raises to t325</font>, CO <font color="purple">(Unknown)</font> calls t325.

What do I need to go all in here, and is calling an option with any hands?

Honestly I think you need a big big hand here depending on when the blinds are going up to 100-200.

In most cases I want AA or KK here. 325 bet into a T250 pot after a limper is begging to get called. THEN someone calls behind that. If you push then you are almost always going to be in a 3way pot, and possibly a 4way.

I consider QQ or AK if the blinds will be changing just in time for me to be the unlucky one. Otherwise I muck those too.

Calling is not an option IMO except with maybe AA if you want to live on the edge and go for a huge pot, but I dont recomend it.

You didn't say what the buy-in is. I think it matters if this is 10+1 or 100+9.

At 55 or 109 where I play, I think I want QQ or better here to feel reasonably good about a push.

I don't really like AK here because I fear that some of my outs are missing and I'm going to almost certainly be racing a pair. Not that I can promise I'd lay it down.

I'd say JJ for pocket pairs or AQ for overcards. Your stack is big enough that you can probably get the cold caller to fold unless he's slowplaying something huge. A fold here isn't awful here as you have another orbit or two before you're really in trouble.

He sholdn't be (completely) unknown, if you are already at that level. How many times has he made big raises so far?

None? careful then. Several times. OK less careful.

Has has called other raises or does he usually fold. Have you ever seen him put money in pot and then give up to a big raise? My point is that even after only 40 hands, you should always have SOME idea.

Anyway, to answer your question is any hand worth just a call? - if he is a certain type of player then I believe QQ can be just a call. (I'm waiting for loud disagreements) lol

QQ-AA is comfortable. JJ to AK is opponent dependant. TT-AQ is for special noobies.

Yeah I was 9 tabling so unless someone caught my eye I didn't know much, the guy raising was not unknown though.

I mucked JJ, doesn't seem to be quite as bad as I thought it might be from the responses.

Yes, I’d ditch JJ here.

How about this one:

Party $109, 9 left, blinds 15/30, UTG+1 (870, solid) raises to 80. Little bit LAGish but still decent enough MP2 (1300) makes it 250.

You are in CO with QQ (1200) … and fold?

I would neved ditch JJ here. At PP there is a good chance you are going up against 2 hands of Ax and or underpairs.

Not saying its the right move though. I would see this as my chance to double/triple up and prepare for the end game.
