5/10 at the quasi-local card barn, typical crew of somewhat passive loose goofballs.

I'm in the BB with J3o and see the flop with MP, CO and SB.

Flop is J82 rainbow

I check, MP checks, CO bets (which means he probably has some piece of the flop), SB calls (this usually doesn't mean much more than he's going too far with his hand), I raise.

Thoughts?

I see no problem with it. Either a check raise or bet right out. I prefer check raise if you think someone will bet. If your reads are right I think this is the right play.
